– Walk Around Tasting –
We’ve asked our favorite NYC hot dog purveyors to assemble at the Biergarten at the Standard, High Line so that we can determine who will be crowned Top Dog! Join renowned chef and writer Andrew Zimmern, the star of Travel Channel’s “Bizarre Foods” for an afternoon of sampling tasty treats ranging from tried-and-true traditional hot dogs and old-school New York City classics to contemporary twists on this iconic street cart snack.
– Marco Polo Festival –
This annual fest kicks off with a street parade through Chinatown and Little Italy, celebrating the relationship between Manhattan’s Chinese- and Italian-American communities as well as the Silk Road.
– Brooklyn Flea Fort Greene –
Arguably the granddaddy of the borough’s slate of bazaars, the Fort Greene Brooklyn Flea is in full swing for the summer. The location is jam-packed with more than 150 vendors shilling retro jewelry, tchotchkes that everthing you don’t need but want.
– Freedom Party: One Step Beyond –
Since 2003, the Freedom Party has been delivering weekly jams for New Yorkers to get down to. To kick off its One Step Beyond dance party series, the American Museum of Natural History brings in FP boys DJ Cosi, Herbert Holler and Marc Smooth. Expect partygoers to lose their minds as the DJs spin all the most groove-worthy hits, from the Temptations and Diana Ross to NAS and Beyonce.
– The Amazing Maize Maze –
Assemble clues and solve puzzles to find your way out of this playfully named three-acre corn maze in Queens.
– Open House New York –
This annual event gives attendees access to 150 of the city’s coolest and most exclusive architectural sites, private homes and landmarks, as well as behind-the-scenes tours and programs.

– Halloween Howl –
Dress your best furry friend up for Halloween! At the Halloween Howl, dogs will love tasty selections from the Freshpet truch. Also expect to dance around to doggy-themed tunes plus give your four-legged fellow a chance to show off his costume!
– Scream Trivia –
You may think you’ll be the final girl left standing at Videology, but some of the city’s most vicious meta-horror aficionados will also gather to prove how much they like scary movies—and they won’t show you mercy.
– Frida Kahlo –
Botanical subjects were a running theme throughout the work of Frida Kahlo. The art-historical icon maintained an ornate garden just outside her studio that inspired much of her art.
– Kaws Street Artist –
The former street artist, who’s taken his game up a notch, designing a ballon for the Macy Thanksgiving Day Parade, and also creating the set for last year’s MTV Music Awards at the Barclays Center, fills the Brooklyn Museum’s lobby with an 18-foot-tall wooden sculpture depicting his signature character, Companion—a sort of skull-headed Mickey Mouse with Xs for eyes—as a pair of of identical figures, with one consoling the other
